IT Infrastructure Engineer

IT Infrastructure Engineer Location: Derby (with occasional travel to other UK offices). Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday with additional hours as required for maintenance and support cover. We are seeking a highly capable IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a forward-thinking and security-conscious professional services organisation. This is a key role that will involve maintaining and developing core IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments, providing both project and operational support to business-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in managing and implementing network and infrastructure technologies, combined with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach. This position offers the opportunity to lead initiatives in areas such as system upgrades, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and technology innovation. Key Responsibilities Lead and support infrastructure-related projects including system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery testing. Maintain, monitor and support cloud and on-premise infrastructure (including Servers, storage, networking, virtualisation and backups). Support the security infrastructure including Firewalls, endpoint protection, VPNs and vulnerability scanning. Implement system updates, patching schedules and capacity planning procedures.
