IT Infrastructure Engineer

This role is based from our office in Breedon on the Hill in Derbyshire, circa 3 days per week, therefore you must live within a commutable distance of this location.Breedon is continuing to modernise its IT landscape and is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to support and help shape this journey.You''ll be part of a small, collaborative infrastructure team, responsible for keeping our core platforms running smoothly while also supporting a number of improvement and transformation initiatives. A key part of the role will be supporting our transition away from a third-party private cloud provider to a self-hosted Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) platform housed in a datacentre, alongside greater use of Microsoft Azure.The role offers a good balance between day-to-day operational support and project work, with opportunities to get involved in design decisions, automation, security improvements, and closer working with teams across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure and Platform SupportSupport and maintain on-premises and hybrid infrastructure, including our move to a self-hosted HCI environment.Manage and support Windows Server and virtualised platforms, ensuring they remain reliable, secure, and fit for purpose.Ensure Windows security updates are applied within a 14-day compliance window, aligned with internal standards.Support and enhance our Azure environment, helping ensure cloud services are well managed and aligned to business needs.Azure and ..... full job details .....
