IT Field Engineer

We are hiring for an IT Field Engineer to work at a leading technology client on a permanent basis. As a Field Engineer, youll be working for a Managed Service Provider company and support their business clients across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London. Driver licence and access to own vehicle is needed. The main office is in East Grinstead however youll be required to visit client sites in and around Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London. Some working from home flexibility is also available when possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective and friendly IT support to users, resolving issues wherever possible and escalating more complex problems when required. Responsibilities include: Providing 1st and 2nd Line IT support face to face, via telephone, email and ticketing systems Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and Windows-related issues Setting up and configuring PCs, laptops and user accounts Supporting Microsoft 365 and common business applications. Troubleshooting network, connectivity, printing and peripheral issues. Managing and updating support tickets, ensuring issues are documented clearly Escalating more complex technical issues appropriately. Supporting new starters and leavers with IT access and equipment. Working as part of the wider IT team to maintain a high standard of service. Helping to identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve the support service.
