IT Engineer

Our client is looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to provide first, second and third-line IT support and help maintain and improve their IT infrastructure. You''ll work closely with the IT Manager, supporting day-to-day operations, resolving technical issues, and contributing to the wider IT strategy.Key responsibilitiesProvide IT support on-site and remotely, logging and resolving incidents through the ITSM systemSupport hardware, servers, networking equipment and cloud platformsImage, configure and deploy desktop, laptop and mobile devicesMonitor backups and keep systems patched and up to dateCover for the IT Manager during leave or absence, including occasional on-call for major incidentsContribute to IT architecture, roadmaps and system upgradesWhat you''ll needFull driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel between sites required)Relevant certification (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco or ITIL)Strong communication and problem-solving skillsWillingness to undergo DBS clearanceTechnical experienceMicrosoft 365, Active Directory/Entra, Windows Server (2019+) with Hyper-V, networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, firewalls), telephony, backup software.Desirable: Intune, Defender, Azure, SQL Server, Exchange, ESET, 3CX, VeeamJames Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible. ..... full job details .....
