IT Disaster Recovery Consultant Contract Location: Cheltenham Hybrid (1 day per week onsite)Contract: 3 MonthsDay Rate: Up to £650 per day Inside IR35Start: ASAP We''re working with an established global business looking to appoint an experienced IT Disaster Recovery Consultant to design, implement and embed a robust IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) capability across its technology environment. This is a hands-on delivery role, working closely with Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Architecture and Governance teams to ensure critical IT services have practical, documented and tested recovery arrangements. We need someone who has delivered IT Disaster Recovery frameworks within complex enterprise environments and can take ownership of the work from initial assessment through to implementation. Key Responsibilities Assess the existing IT Disaster Recovery capability, identifying gaps, risks and areas for improvement. Design and implement an ITDR framework, including recovery processes, standards and methodologies. Define Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) and critical technology dependencies. Develop practical recovery plans covering infrastructure, applications and identity services. Establish recovery sequencing and arrangements for Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID. Ensure recovery plans address major infrastructure failures, cyber incidents and compromised environments.
