IT Configuration and Asset Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join Our Client as an IT Configuration and Asset Lead for a Social Housing Provider. 

This strategic position has been created to strengthen and oversee the company''s IT Asset Management and Configuration Management practices. As a key driver of lifecycle control and data governance, you will play a crucial part in ensuring precise asset tracking, data accuracy, and process optimisation. Your work will directly support critical IT service management functions, enhancing operational efficiency and strategic decision-making within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and refinement of IT Asset and Configuration Management operating models
• Manage the complete lifecycle of hardware assets, from procurement through to secure disposal
• Maintain and optimise the Asset Management Database and Configuration Management Database, ensuring data integrity
• Establish and enforce data standards, controls, and accountability protocols
• Reconcile data across service management, procurement, inventory, and supplier systems to ensure consistency
• Support IT service processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Risk Management with accurate configuration data
• Oversee IT Asset Disposition activities, ensuring supplier compliance and risk mitigation
• Contribute to planning efforts such as refresh cycles, demand forecasting, and cost management
• Document, maintain, and improve policies, procedures, and knowledge resources to support operational excellence

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in managing IT Asset and Configuration Management within complex organiational environments
• Solid understanding of hardware lifecycle management and Data Governance principles
• Practical proficiency in operating and improving asset and configuration databases, with experience in data reconciliation across multiple systems
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management controls, with HaloITSM experience considered an advantage
• Demonstrable ability to produce management reports, assurance evidence, and continuous improvement plans
• Strong stakeholder and supplier management, with a focus on issue investigation and proactive resolution

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Advanced knowledge of HaloITSM platform
• Exposure operating within a Social Housing setting 
• Experience with data standards development and governance practices
• Exposure to IT service architecture and related project management activities
• Ability to navigate and influence multi-disciplinary teams and external partners
