IT and Telecoms Field Engineer

The OpportunityThis is a hands-on, field-based role covering the Northwest of England, with occasional travel further afield, and is central to how the business delivers high-quality on-site installations and support across its client base.The RoleYou''ll be responsible for delivering professional on-site installations, maintenance and support services, with a strong focus on structured network cabling, IT infrastructure and telecoms systems. You''ll work across a wide variety of customer sites - from small offices to larger commercial environments - often acting as the face of the business on-site. To succeed in this role, you''ll need to be technically competent, well organised, and confident working independently while keeping clear communication with clients, suppliers and internal teams.What You''ll Be DoingInstallation and Field WorkInstall, terminate and test structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, fibre where required)Install and configure IT and telecoms equipment, including desktop PCs, laptops, network switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points and VoIP systemsCarry out full site installations, including cabinet/rack builds, patch panel terminations and cable managementConduct site surveys and provide recommendations for network and IT infrastructure improvementsEnsure all installations meet industry standards and best practice, including health and safety complianceTechnical ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and resolve on-site technical issues relating to IT, ..... full job details .....
