Investment Accountant Location: Predominantly remote, with occasional travel to Warwick, the West Midlands, Bristol, and South Wales (1-2 times a month) Day rate: £380 (inside IR35, via umbrella) Contract length: Initial 3 months, strong likelihood of extensionThe opportunityWe''re supporting a large, regulated infrastructure organisation that is undergoing a significant finance transformation. As part of this change, they are building out a new Investment Accounting team to provide hands-on, day-to-day financial support to the business.This is a practical, delivery-focused contract rather than a purely polished BAU role. It would suit someone who enjoys being close to the detail, can learn quickly, and is comfortable operating in a changing environment.The role offers excellent exposure to capital and project finance, a collaborative team, and a strong chance of extension for the right person.Key responsibilitiesYou''ll support the business with operational and project-related finance activities, including:Providing day-to-day finance support across a high volume of projectsManaging and responding to a shared finance mailbox, handling a wide range of queriesSupporting project set-up, cost tracking, accruals, and project closuresProcessing and reviewing journals, cost transfers, and month-end activitiesActing as a key point of contact for non-finance stakeholders, helping them understand processes and requirementsSupporting process improvements and helping stabilise a newly ..... full job details .....
