As an Investigating Officer, you will manage your own caseload, working alongside police officers and staff to investigate a range of offences. Responsibilities will include interviewing suspects, taking witness statements, gathering and reviewing evidence, preparing case files for court and supporting cases through the trial process. You will work closely with victims, witnesses, solicitors, the Crown Prosecution Service and partner agencies, ensuring victims are kept informed throughout investigations. You will also apply established policing frameworks, including the National Decision Model (NDM), THRIVE and Investigative Decision Making Model (IDMM) , to make sound and accountable investigative decisions.
