Job Title: Inventory Manager - SC
Location: Abbey Wood, Bristol (3 days/week on site - part time)
Contract Duration: 6 months but role funding is to 2029
Daily Rate: £750/day (Umbrella)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Security Clearance: SC (Sole UK Nationals only)

Description:

• Develop and maintain a spares model to support operational requirements.
• Conduct spares ranging and scaling to determine optimal inventory levels.
• Review BAE  Basis of Estimate (BoE) for inventory-related costs.
• Review Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) plan.
• Support the review of an Obsolescence Plan to mitigate risks of outdated equipment.
• Plan and manage the disposal of surplus or obsolete inventory.
• Coordinate logistics and transportation requirements for inventory delivery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define inventory requirements and specifications.
• Develop inventory performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct risk assessments related to inventory and supply chain management.
• Support contract assurance by reviewing supplier performance and adherence to terms.
• Monitor inventory data and engage with DM to ensure accuracy in inventory management systems.
• Forecast future inventory needs based on operational and contractual requirements in partnership with DM.
• Liaise with BAE to ensure timely delivery and quality of inventory items.
• Support the development of SSDT Artefacts.
• Contribute to the development of Through Life Management Plan (TLMP).
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in inventory management for inclusion in the contracts.
• Provide input to assurance reviews and audits of major contracts.
• Support the development of training and guidance for inventory management processes.
