A four-day working week, a friendly family-owned business and the chance to make a role your own.

Escape Recruitment is working with a growing, family-owned manufacturing business in Glenrothes to recruit an Inventory & Warehouse Coordinator. This is a newly created role within a close-knit team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of stock control and warehouse activities as the business continues to grow.

Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will be hands-on across the warehouse, managing stock movements, supporting production and coordinating deliveries to UK customers. Playing a key role in reviewing and improving the current systems and be part of the team involved in the the implementation of a new ERP system

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Managing stock control across raw materials and finished products, ensuring inventory records remain accurate.
  • Checking incoming materials, recording deliveries and issuing stock to production.
  • Ensuring finished goods are recorded correctly, picked, packed and dispatched on time.
  • Coordinating parcel and pallet deliveries with external logistics providers.
  • Investigating stock discrepancies, carrying out stock counts and improving inventory accuracy.
  • Reviewing existing systems and processes, helping to implement a fit-for-purpose ERP solution.
  • Supporting day-to-day warehouse activities and working closely with production and operations.
  • Deputising for the Operations Manager when required.

Experience and knowledge required for the role:

You will have experience in a warehouse, inventory or materials role within a manufacturing or production environment. You will be comfortable working hands-on, keeping stock accurate and making sure materials and finished goods are where they need to be.

Just as importantly, you will be someone who takes ownership, uses their initiative and looks for solutions rather than waiting for someone else to fix things.

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good numerical skills and confidence working with stock data and Excel.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP or warehouse management systems, with an interest in improving processes.
  • A positive, practical approach and the confidence to work independently in a small team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to support and guide a colleague.

A forklift licence or IOSH qualification would be a real advantage, but neither is essential. The company is happy to support the right person with training.

  • A stable, family-owned business with a friendly, close-knit team.
  • A newly created role where you can take ownership and make a genuine difference.
