Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced Interventions Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Bridgwater. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils'' progress in core subjects and help them overcome barriers to learning.

Role Details:

• Position: Interventions Teacher (Core Subjects)
• Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract: Until the end of the academic year (potential for permanent placement for the right candidate)
• Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted interventions in core subjects (English, Maths, Science) to small groups and individual pupils
• Support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as other Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and pastoral team to develop and implement personalised learning plans
• Monitor and report on pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils, particularly those with SEMH and other SEN
• Strong knowledge of the secondary curriculum in core subjects
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills
• A proactive, flexible, and resilient approach
