Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)Location: Chatham, Kent Contract: Fixed Term Contract Hours: Full Time Salary: Dependent on experience Academics are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in a welcoming mainstream primary school in Chatham.This rewarding role will involve working predominantly with Year 4 pupils, delivering targeted small-group interventions and learning activities to support academic progress across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. Strong KS2 curriculum knowledge, particularly in English and Mathematics, is essential.The successful candidate will also provide some 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with additional needs, including autism, anxiety and sensory processing differences. We are looking for someone who can build positive relationships, understand individual needs and implement strategies that enable the pupil to engage successfully in school life and learning. Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality small-group teaching and interventions for Year 4 pupils.Support pupils in making progress across the KS2 curriculum.Work closely with teaching staff to plan, deliver and assess learning activities.Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with autism, anxiety and sensory needs.Implement personalised strategies and reasonable adjustments to support engagement and wellbeing.Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and the wider team.Promote a positive, ..... full job details .....
