Intervention Teaching Assistant - Scunthorpe Full-Time Long-Term Role September 2026 Start £100 per day We are looking to recruit a dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant for a long-term position within a primary school in Scunthorpe, starting in September 2026. This role will focus on delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions to pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping to close learning gaps and boost confidence in core subjects. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting pupil progress and able to work effectively with children of varying abilities. Main Responsibilities Deliver planned literacy and numeracy intervention sessions to individuals and small groups Support pupils who require additional help to meet age-related expectations Monitor and record pupil progress during intervention programmes Liaise with teachers to ensure interventions align with classroom learning Adapt activities to meet the needs of different learners Encourage pupil engagement and confidence in learning Support children with SEN where required We Are Looking For Someone Who Has previous experience working within a primary school setting Has experience supporting literacy and numeracy development Demonstrates a strong understanding of KS1 and KS2 learning objectives Has knowledge of SEN and strategies to support additional needs Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff Possesses excellent behaviour management skills Is organised, ..... full job details .....
