Teaching Assistant SEN and Intervention (Year 6) Full Time Long-Term Immediate Start Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme Astro Education is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support SEN and intervention work with Year 6 pupils at an Primary School in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated TA who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential, particularly in preparation for Key Stage 2 SATs and transition to secondary school. About the Opportunity Astro Education seek to recruit a Teaching Assistants for an primarry school to cover on a long term basis - The role will start immediatley and continue until end of academic year. Key responsibilities include: Providing 1:1 and small group intervention support for Year 6 pupils Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions Helping pupils build confidence and independence in learning Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to monitor progress Supporting preparation for end of Key Stage 2 assessments Requirements Successful candidates should have: Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school Experience supporting intervention groups or SEN pupils A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification A patient, flexible and supportive approach The ability to work effectively within a team Strong ..... full job details .....
