This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can build strong relationships with young people and help them re-engage with education.The Role:Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring and intervention supportSupporting pupils with SEMH, behavioural and emotional needsBuilding positive, trusting relationships with pupilsDelivering targeted interventions to improve engagement, confidence and behaviourSupporting pupils who may have experienced difficulties within mainstream educationHelping pupils develop social, emotional and life skillsWorking closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide consistent supportManaging challenging behaviour using positive and restorative approachesThe Ideal Candidate:Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly within education, care, youth work or support settingsExperience supporting pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviourConfident managing difficult situations calmly and professionallyPatient, resilient and approachableAble to build positive relationships with hard-to-reach young peopleA genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learningPrevious experience within an Alternative Provision, PRU, SEN school or mainstream ..... full job details .....
