Internal Account Manager

Basic -28k30k + commission OTE -36k.

25 days holiday plus bank, lunch, and free-parking.

We are working with an established and growing business who are looking to recruit an Internal Account Manager to join their team.

This is a varied customer and sales-focused role where you will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts, developing relationships and identifying opportunities to increase sales. You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing a responsive and professional service while working closely with the wider sales team.

The role:

• Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and drive customer loyalty
• Identify new sales opportunities and proactively generate additional business
• Follow up quotations and new enquiries to maximise sales opportunities
• Promote and upsell new products and services
• Handle incoming calls, emails and customer enquiries
• Process sales orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide quotations and pricing information, including stock quotations
• Manage bespoke products and stock-holding requirements
• Keep customers updated on deliveries and ETAs
• Manage the sales inbox and ensure enquiries are dealt with promptly
• Complete and action daily customer reports
• Maintain accurate customer records and information
• Support the External Sales team with customer and sales activity
• Work towards agreed monthly KPIs and sales targets
• Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times

About you:

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers and has a genuine interest in developing accounts and generating sales. You will be confident communicating by telephone and email, organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

Previous experience in internal sales, account management, sales administration or a customer-focused commercial role would be advantageous. Most importantly, you will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a desire to deliver excellent customer service while achieving commercial results.
