Internal Sales Executive (Freight and Logistics) Location: Hertfordshire Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30 Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 basic + bonus up to £5,000 Benefits: Contributory pensionRole OverviewAn established freight forwarding business is seeking an Internal Sales Executive to join its commercial team. The role focuses on managing and developing existing client relationships, supporting account growth, and preparing accurate quotations across air, road, and sea freight services.This is a client-facing, office-based sales position requiring strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work accurately with numerical data and pricing.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and develop existing customer accountsPrepare and calculate freight quotations for air, road, and sea shipmentsRespond to RFQs and support tender submissionsMaintain regular contact with clients to support account growthLiaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing and service deliveryAttend client and supplier meetings where requiredProduce KPI and performance reportingMaintain accurate records of quotations, pricing, and customer interactionsProvide general sales and administrative support to the wider teamCandidate ProfileThe successful candidate will ideally have experience within freight forwarding (operations or sales), although this is not essential.
