Internal Sales Engineer – Compressed Air / Pneumatics

Thomas Lee Recruitment is working with a Shrewsbury-based manufacturer of specialist compressed air filtration products to recruit an Internal Sales Engineer.

This is an office-based technical sales role, focused mainly on developing customers by phone and email rather than traditional field sales.

The initial focus will be the UK market, with the opportunity to also develop business within the US.

The Role

You will sell a specialist range of compressed air filtration products into industrial customers, developing both existing accounts and new business.

You will:

• Develop existing customer and distributor relationships
• Identify and contact potential new customers
• Handle technical and commercial enquiries
• Understand customer applications and recommend suitable products
• Produce quotations and follow opportunities through to order
• Develop UK sales, with potential involvement in the US market

What We''re Looking For

Ideally, you will have experience selling within:

• Compressed air
• Pneumatics
• Filtration
• Valves or pumps
• Industrial components
• Specialist engineering products

You do not necessarily need direct compressed air experience, but you should be comfortable selling technical products where understanding the customer''s application is important.

This role would suit someone who enjoys talking to engineers and industrial customers, understands technical sales and is comfortable developing business predominantly by phone.

Salary: -40,000, uncapped commission.
Location: Shrewsbury
Working arrangement: Office-based
