Internal Sales Engineer

Our West Sussex Engineering client has a very exciting opportunity for a recent Mechanical Engineering Graduate or a-more experienced technical support/internal sales specialist, to join them as an Internal Sales Engineer.-

The role

• Office based role to support UK and Italian sales team with product selection and quoting from fixed price list and compiling bespoke equipment quotes. Producing and updating technical literature as required, Streamlining quotes and documenting accessories options. As well as offering technical support to customers and assisting with technical details to spares department when needed.

General Responsibilities

• To produce quotes for Italy and UK based sales team from standard price lists.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing and build bespoke quotes as required.
• Main point of contact for sales team regarding quotes, quires with orders in progress and customer update requests.
• Ensure CRM is updated with new enquires details.
• Update/ produce datasheets and other materials to assist with quotes.
• Create accessories and build options catalogue with costings, details and supporting information. Maintain accurate records.
• Assist with technical support to the spares/service department as required.
• Provided pre and post sales technical support alongside engineering department.
• Streamlining the quotes to include accessories by pressure and flow.
• Cascade any technical or other changes to the sales team.
• Assisting with scouting and new customer development, possible occasional visit to customers or exhibitions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in internal sales, applications engineer or technical support or would suit a graduate engineer.
• Formal engineering qualification.
• Commercially aware with strong communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break)
