Internal Construction Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and detail-oriented Internal Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of high-end residential construction, refurbishment and bespoke property projects.

This is an internal management role suited to a construction professional with a strong background in luxury residential projects, exceptional organisational skills and a thorough understanding of quality, programme, cost control and site coordination.

The successful candidate will act as a central link between the internal team, site managers, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and clients, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards of workmanship, on programme and within budget.

A strong appreciation for the level of detail, finish and client service expected within the prime residential market is essential.-

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

• Oversee the day-to-day management and progress of a-high-end residential construction and refurbishment project.
• Develop, monitor and maintain project programmes, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Coordinate internal teams, site managers, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, designers and external consultants.
• Identify potential delays, risks and challenges early, implementing effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, building regulations, health and safety standards and relevant statutory obligations.
• Establish and maintain high construction quality standards appropriate to the luxury residential market.
• Carry out regular site inspections and quality reviews throughout the construction process.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, agreed samples and design intent.
• Review critical construction details, including waterproofing, insulation, structural interfaces, window and door installations, plastering, flooring and specialist finishes.
• Oversee the coordination and quality of bespoke joinery, stonework, metalwork, glazing, lighting and other high-specification elements.
• Identify defects and incomplete works at an early stage, ensuring issues are rectified before subsequent trades proceed.
