Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Manager

As Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for driving and managing engagement through effective internal communications and the development of a strong employer brand, which clearly positions the business as the workplace of choice for new and existing colleagues. You will also be accountable for measuring engagement and ROI, with the ability to interpret results and lead by experience and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Brand and Marketing Director to create, write and implement colleague communications aligned with the company’s objectives and values.
- Lead our annual engagement activity and identify more frequent, smaller pulse-check surveys to measure specific KPIs - taking the lead on frequent engagement comms and sharing best practice.
- Collaborate with the Executive Board and Senior Leadership team to form strategies to engage with colleagues, sharing news and promoting values and culture.
- Work with central functions such as L&D, HR and IT to communicate vital colleague initiatives such as the MARCH® Academy Career Development Programme.
- Support and drive the MARCH Colleague Engagement Programme, including organising and hosting colleague forums throughout the year.
- Create engaging, eye-catching and compelling content for social media, sharing the best of our colleagues’ achievements.
- Update and develop the company intranet with news, documentation, videos etc.
- Manage the internal e-marketing platform, creating templates and communications to send to colleagues.
- Work with in-house creative content managers and specialist external design partners to design illustrative / graphical communication styles.
- Manage the MARCH merchandise portfolio, working with our third-party supplier to maintain and refresh our products.
- Support and drive technology improvements that assist with employee engagement and the wider employee experience (how we listen/respond to colleague via technology).
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications and engagement activities, and report on the outcomes and ROI.

Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in internal communications and employee engagement strategies and initiatives in a medium to large organisation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging messages for different audiences and channels.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-growing company.
- Creative and innovative thinker, with the ability to generate new ideas and solutions.
- Highly collaborative and relationship-oriented, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders and build trust and credibility.
- Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to measure and report on the impact and ROI of internal communications and engagement activities.
- Proficient in using various communication tools and platforms, including intranet, social media, video, and webinars.
- Passionate about employee engagement and creating a positive and inclusive culture
Specific Qualifications
- Degree or professional association qualification in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
