Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Our client operate as both Main Contractor and Sub Contractor within the Retail sector. They undertake projects up to £5M in value as the main contractor and multiple packages working as a sub contractor. Based in close to Hitchin, Hertfordshire, they have successfully grown the business organically for the last 19 years, starting out as Sub contractors to the likes of Isg. They have moved into principle contracting, bringing in a very experienced industry leader as Director to assist with bringing in new clients and developing processes. They are looking to employ Quantity Surveyor with 2-5 years experience within the industry, someone with some experience, but not set in their ways, to enable them to train and develop the successful candidate. The role will be office based with a requirement to visit projects, so a driving license and car are essential for this role. Working closely with the Team and mentored by the Director mentioned above. Initially the role will involve Sending out tender enquiries Analysing returns, ensuring that all elements have been captured in the price Making comparisons on excel Recommendations Placing Orders Ideally you will be able to read construction drawings and have some knowledge of measuring quantities from the drawings.
