Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 + Package

Overview:
An established M&E contractor based in Central London is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step up, gain exposure to complex and high-value projects, and develop their technical and commercial skills within a supportive environment.
You will work closely with senior estimators and experienced professionals, contributing to tenders while continuing to build your knowledge across mechanical building services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Mechanical Estimating team on a range of tenders
• Assist in reviewing employer’s requirements and project specifications
• Interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation
• Carry out take-offs and measurements from mechanical drawings
• Input data into estimating software
• Issue enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors
• Assist in analysing and comparing quotations
• Contribute to the preparation of competitive tender submissions

Requirements:

• Experience as a Mechanical Estimator or Assistant/Junior Estimator within M&E / Building Services
• Understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, pipework, public health, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Experience with estimating software is beneficial
