A dynamic consultancy is urgently seeking an intermediate mechanical design engineer to join the growing team in their London office Assist in the design and specification of mechanical building services systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic water, drainage and medical gases. Prepare design calculations, equipment schedules and technical submissions under supervision. Develop schematic and layout drawings in collaboration with CAD/Revit teams. Support the preparation of technical reports, design narratives and schedules for inclusion within tender and construction packages. Undertake and record site surveys and inspections. Liaise and coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical teams as well as external consultants. Assist with compliance checks against HTMs, HBNs, CIBSE Guides, and Building Regulations. Support senior engineers in client and design team meetings by preparing materials and following up on actions. Contribute to practice improvements and maintain design quality standards.
