Mechanical Design Engineer / Intermediate Mechanical design Engineer /Building Services / MEP

This role is to join a global engineering business, they play a leading role in some of the world’s most exciting and challenging engineering projects covering sectors such as energy, rail, defence and aviation.

This opportunity is for an intermediate mechanical design engineer to take on a role within the building services team. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge, experience and problem-solving skills on local net zero projects through to leading complex UK-based engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring an understanding of project briefs.
• Design and specification of all Mechanical Building Services systems - heating, cooling, ventilation, controls, etc.
• Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools Preparing technical specifications.
• Collaborate with the BIM team to prepare models and drawings
• Client meetings, site surveys, inspections and monitor site works.
• Managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload
• Assist with technical development of junior staff.

Requirements

• Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related subjects.
• Working towards CEng with CIBSE or IMechE.
• Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools, Revit and IES VE experience would be advantageous.
• Flexible attitude and enthusiastic approach to work and level of responsibility given.
• This role requires you to be a UK national due to the nature of some client projects.
