Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer

The Opportunity

Our client is a leading, well-established Building Services Consultancy. They work in a range of industries including Commercial, Residential, Education, Retail, Leisure and Health care. Having been awarded several new contracts they are now recruiting an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their design team providing support, and assisting the senior design engineers, producing electrical eervices designs throughout the full project lifecycle.

The Position

As the Intermediate Electrical  Design Engineer will be undertaking full Electrical Systems Design and will be working on a variety of projects including Educational, Residential, Commercial and many more.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To implement company procedures policy.
• To undertake electrical design and assist the project manager with various types of projects in accordance with the company aims and policies.
• To assist and be part of the design team 
• Carry out surveys and produce reports.
• Carry out quality inspections of projects.
• Use design software, AutoCAD, Cymap, Amtech
• Undertake duties as required by the Director of the group

The Person

The ideal candidate will be qualified to at least HNC Level or similar and have experience and knowledge of

• Producing detailed specifications
• Productions of design calculations both manual and using software
• Production of manual drawing mark-ups
• Basic Autocad skills, experience of using Bluebeam / Revit would also be advantageous
• Assistance with the production of tender packages
• Assisting with producing tender analysis of returned tender packages
• Assisting budget costings for all aspects of services
• Carry out site surveys
• Production of condition reports
