Interim Financial AccountantBath Charity/Public Sector Interim Contract Hays Senior Finance Interim and Contract team are keen to speak with experienced Financial Accountants available for interim, contract or temporary assignments.We are currently supporting a Bath-based charity/public sector organisation with the appointment of an experienced Financial Accountant to provide critical year-end and audit support.This is a hands-on assignment requiring a technically strong finance professional who can quickly add value and help ensure the organisation is fully prepared for audit. Key ResponsibilitiesLeading year-end accounts preparation activitiesSupporting the external audit processCompleting balance sheet reconciliations and investigating outstanding itemsIdentifying and posting necessary accounting adjustmentsPreparing audit files, schedules and supporting documentationResponding to year-end accounting queries and liaising with auditorsProviding general technical accounting support to the finance teamAbout YouQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferredProven experience delivering year-end and audit support within a finance functionStrong balance sheet reconciliation and technical accounting skillsAble to work independently and proactively in a small, hands-on environmentExperience within the charity, not-for-profit or public sector environmentCharity VAT experience is essential The OpportunityImmediate requirementOpportunity to make a tangible impact ..... full job details .....
