Interim VAT Accountant (potential of temp to perm)

An interim role for a VAT Accountant as arisen to join the tax tea of a well-known and respected consumer brand. They are looking for someone to start ASAP and there is the potential for a temp to perm. The role looks after indirect tax (mostly VAT) where you''ll have ownership across compliance, advisory work and risk management. Key responsibilities include: Prepare and submit UK VAT returns and support with international indirect tax reporting and compliance obligations Support compliance with Making Tax Digital requirements Support the review of new business initiatives, contracts and projects to identify VAT implications. Assist with responses to HMRC enquiries, VAT audits and compliance reviews This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of preparing and reviewing UK VAT returns.
