Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Transport Lead to join them on an ongoing Contract.  
 
Key Responsibilities:

·The Transport Team Leader will provide expert operational input to the development and implementation of the Local Transport Plan and will lead on the development of several Supplementary Strategies such as the Active and Sustainable Travel Strategy, Public Transport Strategy and Road Safety Strategy.
 
·Manage the delivery of clients major transport infrastructure projects from end to end, leading on: drawing up funding bids, engineering and design of prospective schemes, procuring and managing major highways works contracts, liaising with central government to report progress.

·To contribute to the development of the clients Local Transport Plan and take direct responsibility for the development and delivery of a number of the supplementary strategies, for example Active & Sustainable Travel Strategy, Bus & Rail Strategies & Road Safety Strategy.

·Help to ensure delivery of the clients priorities and values to residents. Translate vision into strategic aims for the future development of the service to enable the council to meet its future challenges, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
