Tax Accountant - Temporary Contract Manchester City Centre Hybrid 2-3 Month Contract Mid-October Start We are recruiting an experienced Tax Accountant to join the in-house tax team of a well-established group of businesses initial 2-3 month temporary contract, with the possibility of extension. This is a hands-on UK corporation tax compliance role, supporting the preparation of tax computations across a large and varied group structure as part of the year-end compliance cycle. The role would suit a tax professional with strong UK Corporation Tax experience and existing AlphaTax proficiency, who is comfortable managing a high volume of entities and working to tight deadlines. The Role Working closely with the Tax Manager and Tax Senior Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of UK entities and support the wider tax team through a busy period of year-end compliance. Key responsibilities will include: Preparing UK Corporation Tax computations for a large portfolio of group entities using AlphaTax. Managing your workload against the group''s compliance timetable and ensuring deadlines are met. Working with Finance teams to obtain and validate trial balances, statutory accounts and supporting information. Reviewing and resolving queries, escalating more complex technical matters where appropriate. Maintaining accurate compliance records and tracking submission progress.
