Interim Support Manager

 Location: Norfolk (on-site)

Contract: Interim / Fixed-term assignment (3–6 months)

Salary/Rate: Competitive (dependent on experience)

We’re working with an established provider supporting older people in Norfolk who requires an Interim Support Manager to provide short-term operational leadership and stability across a busy service. This is a hands-on assignment, ideal for someone confident stepping into a service quickly, embedding good practice, and supporting a team to deliver consistently high-quality, person-centred care.

• Provide day-to-day leadership to the service, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery of support
• Support the Registered Manager with operational oversight and service improvement
• Maintain strong standards around safeguarding, risk management, medication processes and care planning
• Coach and support staff, including supervision, performance management and rota/staffing support
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal policies and best practice
• Liaise with families, external professionals and stakeholders to promote positive outcomes
• Support with audits, action plans, and ensuring documentation is consistently up to date

• Proven experience in a Support Manager / Deputy Manager / Service Manager role within older people’s services
• Strong working knowledge of compliance and quality standards in social care
• Confident leading teams through change, stabilisation or improvement activity
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, pragmatic approach
• Ability to work on-site in Norfolk and commit to a 3–6 month assignment
