Enfield Council is recruiting for a Repairs Supervisor to manage a team of repairs operatives delivering maintenance and void works across the borough.
Key responsibilities:·Manage a team of repairs operatives to deliver high standards of work and efficient use of materials·Coordinate complex multi-trade repair projects, including repairs affecting multiple properties such as major leaks·Undertake trade-based tasks where required, including carpentry, plumbing, decorating, plastering, and tiling·Conduct toolbox talks, 1-to-1s, and pre- and post-inspections on tenanted properties·Manage the voids team to ensure works are completed within timescales·Attend evening Tenant Association meetings·Respond to internal and external customer needs·Ensure compliance with all health and safety rules and regulations
Essential skills and experience:·Minimum 2 years'' social housing experience with trade background·Knowledge of building regulations, construction, and site operations·Supervisory experience leading trade teams·Health and safety legislation knowledge, including risk assessments/method statements·Ability to communicate effectively in spoken/written English and use handheld technology·Quality control inspection experience
Additional requirements:·Participation in an on-call rota providing a 24/7 service, 365 days a year·Ability to attend evening and weekend meetings as required·Flexibility to work in line with service needs and community requirements·Enhanced DBS check
