Interim Policy Manager

Specific duties and responsibilities Interim Policy Manager The postholder will work with the substantive Policy Manager, where required, but will be expected to take responsibility for day-to-day management decisions, prioritisation and team coordination. Ensure continuity of core Policy functions, including corporate performance reporting, overview and scrutiny support, corporate policy development, LGR programme management, partnership support, learning and development activity, grants administration and related corporate programmes. Liaise with colleagues involved in LGR, including the substantive Policy Manager and Head of Policy and Performance to manage the impact on team priorities, capacity and forward planning, ensuring that business-as-usual activity is appropriately managed alongside organisational change. Oversee the day to day performance monitoring and management process across and report quarterly progress to CMB and through relevant Member forums. Lead on the development and delivery of the Council''s corporate policies and priorities, as well as promoting cultural change activities and encouraging wider corporate groups within the organisation to engage.
