Interim Personal Tax Manager

Chalk Hill Group are working with a well-established professional services business, based in Berkshire, to recruit an Interim Personal Senior Tax Manager to provide additional support through a particularly busy period, helping the team navigate year-end and upcoming tax deadlines until January 2027. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced personal tax professional who can quickly get up to speed, manage a portfolio of clients and provide additional capacity to the existing team. The Role: You will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring compliance work is delivered accurately and on time while providing high-quality advice and support. Key responsibilities will include: Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, overseeing their tax affairs and ensuring all relevant compliance deadlines are met. Reviewing and preparing Self Assessment tax returns, including more complex returns involving areas such as property, investments, capital gains and higher-income individuals. Providing technical support and guidance on UK personal tax matters, identifying issues and opportunities for clients where appropriate. Supporting the wider tax team through the year-end period, helping to manage workload, deadlines and client queries. Liaising directly with clients and internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and providing clear, commercially focused advice.
