Interim Operations Manager

Prospectus are delighted to be supporting a small charity in South-West London in their search for an Interim Operations Manager on a 6-12 month fixed term contract, on a part time basis (3-4 days per week). The role offers £35,000 FTE and is home-based but with regular travel required across the Wandsworth area to provide operational leadership across their independent charity. This is a hands-on, varied role where you''ll work closely with Trustees, staff and volunteers to ensure the smooth running of operations while driving practical improvements that make a real difference. Reporting to the Trustees, you''ll oversee a team spanning two charity shops, an online retail operation and a small office based team, helping to create stability, strengthen people management practices and support ongoing organisational development. You''ll be an adaptable and organised manager who can quickly understand the organisation, assess priorities and provide clear leadership. You''ll bring proven experience leading teams and managing people, as well as strong operational management skills within a charity, retail, SME or similar environment. You''ll be able to identify areas to improve processes, systems and ways of working, and be able to work autonomously while partnering effectively with Trustees. You''ll be able to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, and be solutions focused with excellent communication skills.
