The Interim Materials Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials within the procurement and supply chain department. This position in the FMCG industry is based in Liverpool and requires someone with a strong understanding of inventory planning and supply management.

Description

As Interim Materials Planner, duties will include, however, not be limited to:

  • Manage material planning activities to ensure timely availability of stock to meet production schedules.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimise disruptions.
  • Monitor and forecast material requirements based on production needs and market trends.
  • Support procurement in sourcing materials from approved suppliers.
  • Coordinate with production teams to address material shortages or delays effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Analyse data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Prepare regular reports on material planning performance and KPIs for management review.

Profile

A successful Interim Materials Planner should have:

  • Demonstrable experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials planning, ideally within the FMCG industry.
  • A strong understanding of materials planning & management principles and supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
