Interim Management Accountant

Interim Management Accountant | Hybrid /Manchester | Housing Sector | Interim Contract

We are supporting a reputable housing organisation to appoint an Interim Management Accountant to support their finance team during a busy period. This is a hands-on role working closely with budget holders across key service areas, delivering accurate and insightful financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts across multiple cost centres
• Prepare and post accruals and prepayments
• Review financial performance and variances with budget holders
• Support the delivery of full-year forecasts and financial planning
• Provide clear and concise commentary for the Statement of Comprehensive Income
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Support VAT preparation

About You

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience within the housing sector (ideally)
• Strong management accounting background with the ability to work independently
• Confident communicator with experience working with non-finance stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills
