Job Title: Housing Surveyor – Stock Condition and Compliance
Location: Derbyshire
Contract Type: Interim / Contract
Hourly Rate: £30 to £40 per hour (negotiable depending on experience and chartership)

About the Role
We are looking for an Interim Housing Surveyor to deliver stock condition and compliance surveys across a large social housing portfolio. This assignment will suit an experienced surveyor who can work independently, complete accurate surveys and contribute immediately to housing compliance and investment programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out structured property surveys, collecting data on condition, compliance and energy performance
• Identify and record hazards, defects and safety risks in line with regulations
• Collect evidence for damp and mould assessments, including environmental readings and photos
• Ensure surveys are compliant with Decent Homes Standard, HHSRS and other statutory requirements
• Upload survey results promptly into asset management systems

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in housing, building surveying or property maintenance
• Ideally MRICS or MCIOB, but experienced non-chartered surveyors are welcome
• Knowledge of stock condition methodology and compliance frameworks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work to tight timescales
• Full UK driving licence
