Interim Head of Revenues and Benefits 6 month contract £650 - £700 per day Hybrid working - 2/3 days a week in the London officeAbout the clientMorgan Law are seeking an interim Head of Revenues and Benefits for a Local Authority in the London area.AccountabilitiesLead the development and delivery of long-term service strategies aligned tothe council''s corporate plan and wider local, regional, and national priorities.Provide expert advice to Directors, Elected Members, and Committees,ensuring decisions are informed, evidence-based, and compliant withlegislation.Identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities, translating them intoactionable plans that strengthen service resilience and performance.Oversee day-to-day service delivery, ensuring statutory obligations are metand services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.Manage budgets, resources, and commissioning arrangements, ensuringfinancial sustainability and robust governance.Lead service transformation, digital innovation, and process redesign toimprove customer experience and operational efficiencyPrepare and present reports, business cases, and performance updates tosenior leadership and elected membersCandidate RequirementsDemonstrable leadership experience within a Revenues and Benefits environment.Strong knowledge and understanding of local government statutory frameworks, governance arrangements, and democratic decision-making processes.Excellent financial and resource management skills, ..... full job details .....
