Interim Head of Procurement and Commercial - NHS

Location: London (2-3 days onsite) Contract Length: 6-Months initially Rate: Up to £800 a day Inside IR35 A newly established healthcare organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement, Commercial andamp; Enterprise Growth to build and lead its procurement and commercial function during a significant period of growth and transformation. This is a unique opportunity for a senior procurement leader who combines strong public sector procurement expertise with commercial strategy and enterprise growth experience. The role will be responsible for establishing procurement governance and capability, while also identifying new commercial opportunities, strategic partnerships and revenue-generating services. Key Responsibilities Build and lead the Procurement andamp; Commercial function from the ground up. Establish procurement governance, policies and operating procedures. Lead complex procurement activity across digital, technology, healthcare and professional services categories. Develop commercial strategies that support organisational growth and long-term sustainability. Identify opportunities for income generation, shared services and new service offerings. Evaluate strategic partnerships, joint ventures and external commercial opportunities. Partner with senior stakeholders to shape business cases, investment decisions and delivery strategies.
