A leading commercial property business is looking for an experienced Interim Head of Health & Safety to take ownership of its health and safety strategy across a significant commercial property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Health & Safety function across the property portfolio.
• Develop and implement H&S strategy, policies and governance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant UK legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert advice to senior leadership, property and facilities teams.
• Oversee risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident management.
• Manage and develop relationships with external consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Drive a proactive health and safety culture across the organisation.
• Report on H&S performance, risks and key actions to senior management.

Experience Required

• Proven experience operating at Head of Health & Safety / senior H&S level.
• Strong background within commercial property, real estate, FM or a similar built-environment environment.
• Excellent knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
• Experience managing health and safety across a complex property portfolio.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at Board and senior leadership level.
• Chartered or equivalent professional H&S qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma / CMIOSH) highly desirable.
