Interim Head of Commercial Finance

Sewell Wallis is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and respected charity based in Nottingham, to recruit a Head of Commercial Finance for a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role. This is a key leadership position within the organisation, offering the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making and drive financial performance.The successful Head of Commercial Finance candidate will be based at the organisation''s Sheffield headquarters, with the flexibility of hybrid working. You will lead a finance team of 13, including five direct reports, and take ownership of all FPandA activity, including forecasting, budgeting, pricing strategy, and financial modelling. You will also play a critical role in supporting operational and commercial decision-making across the charity.What will you be doing?Lead, manage and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvementOversee the full financial planning and analysis cycle, including quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-term financial modellingDeliver accurate and timely month-end reporting, including management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary on financial performanceConduct detailed risk and opportunity assessments, providing strategic insight to support resource allocation and investment decisionsPartner with senior stakeholders, including Directors and the ..... full job details .....
