Managing a multi-site depot portfolio, you will act as the operational anchor-supporting lead mechanics on the ground, optimizing workshop throughput, and safeguarding strict regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Workshop Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations across 5 operational depots, ensuring the maintenance schedules of specialist vehicles (refuse collection, highways maintenance, winter gritters, and grounds equipment) are strictly adhered to.Compliance Management: Ensure absolute adherence to O-Licence standards, MOT regulations, and the statutory requirements of the Office of the Traffic Commissioner.Team Support: Spend 3 days a week traveling between sites (Brampton to Whitehaven) to assess operational capabilities, support senior mechanics, and champion a rigorous Health and Safety culture.Record Integrity: Audit and streamline fleet maintenance record management to ensure best practices are met ahead of any regulatory inspections.The Ideal Candidate:Proven track record managing complex, ..... full job details .....
