Interim Financial Controller - Europe

We are recruiting an experienced Interim Financial Controller for a broad European assignment based in Maidenhead. This full-time contract is expected to run for up to 18 months and offers a salary of £75,000-£85,000 per annum. The opportunity You will take day-to-day ownership of financial control across several European operations during an important period of change. Alongside maintaining robust reporting and compliance, you will help improve recently introduced business systems, support an orderly team transition and give leaders clear commercial insight. Key responsibilities • Lead month-end close, management reporting, controls and statutory activity across European entities. • Coordinate audit, VAT, tax, payroll and other local compliance requirements with external advisers where needed. • Own budgets, forecasts and cash-flow planning, translating financial information into practical recommendations. • Review project accounting, revenue recognition, utilisation and margin performance within a project-led environment. • Strengthen data quality, workflows and reporting across finance and connected business platforms. • Guide and develop finance colleagues while working closely with regional and international stakeholders. • Provide practical support on commercial, contractual and operational matters when required.
