Interim Financial Controller

Axon Moore are pleased to partner with a fast growing manufacturing business as they look to recruit a interim financial controller to support the managing director as the business continues its growth journey-

Key Responsibilities-

• Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely management accounts.
• Lead the preparation and review of monthly management reporting and financial analysis.
• Oversee the balance sheet, reconciliations, cash flow and working capital.
• Ensure robust financial controls and processes are maintained across the business.
• Provide meaningful analysis around costs, margins, production performance and profitability.
• Work closely with operational teams to improve financial visibility and performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Improve processes, controls and reporting.
• Assist with year-end accounts, audit and statutory reporting.
• Provide financial support on operational and business improvement projects.
• Act as a key finance partner to the senior leadership team.

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), although strong qualified-by-experience candidates will also be considered.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or product-based environment.
• Strong understanding of management accounts, financial control and month-end reporting.
• Experience with stock, inventory, standard costing, production costs and gross margin analysis.
• The ability to quickly understand a business and make an immediate impact
