The successful candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end accounting activities for the UK entity, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting whilst maintaining compliance with UK statutory, tax and regulatory requirements. This is a highly visible role within an international organisation and will work closely with Group Finance, external advisors and a wide range of internal stakeholders. The key roles and responsibilities for this person will include: Ownership of the UK entity''s end-to-end accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting Coordinating the monthly and half-yearly financial close process in line with Group reporting deadlines Ensuring accounting activities comply with UK GAAP, IFRS and Group accounting standards Acting as the UK subject matter expert for VAT compliance, including accurate VAT accounting and timely submission of VAT returns Managing relationships with HMRC, external auditors, tax advisors and other regulatory bodies Coordinating statutory audits ...
