Interim Financial Accountant / Audit Lead Contract Length: 3-4 months Daily Rate: £350 - £400 Location: Central London Job Type: Full-time, 4 days per week in the office We are currently seeking an experienced and Qualified Accountant to join our client''s finance team on a temporary basis, who are a specialist within the construction sector. This role is crucial for supporting the preparation of the Group''s year-end accounts and managing the external audit process. This role will require a fully qualified Accountant with a background in statutory accounts/financial statements preparation and support or leading on an audit process. Day-to-day of the role: Prepare and review year-end balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, and audit working papers. Ensure all year-end files are complete, accurate, and audit-ready. Coordinate the preparation and collation of information required by external auditors. Serve as the key day-to-day contact for the audit team, managing the audit request list and addressing outstanding queries. Proactively follow up with finance team members and the wider business to ensure timely information delivery. Review audit queries and prepare well-supported responses. Identify and address accounting issues during the year-end process in collaboration with senior finance management and auditors.
