Interim Finance Systems Manager

HWF is working with a leading retail business in Merseyside to appoint an Interim Finance Systems Manager to play a key role in strengthening finance systems, processes and reporting during a period of transformation.This role sits at the intersection of Finance and IT, with a strong emphasis on designing efficient processes, mapping current vs future-state workflows, and owning UAT through to implementation.The RoleKey responsibilities include:Leading finance systems design to support reporting, control and scalabilityProcess mapping of end-to-end finance workflows (AP, AR, GL, expenses, P2P, O2C)Identifying inefficiencies and reducing manual, Excel-heavy processesOwning UAT planning, test scripts, execution and defect resolutionActing as the bridge between Finance, IT, and external system partnersSupporting data integrity, reporting outputs and KPI design post-go-liveEnsuring new processes are clearly documented and embedded into BAUWhat We''re Looking ForQualified accountant or finance systems specialist with strong finance domain knowledgeProven experience in finance systems implementation or optimisationHands-on experience with process mapping and UATComfortable working in complex, fast-paced environmentsPragmatic, delivery-focused approach with strong stakeholder skillsRetail or multi-site environment experience advantageousWhy This Role?High-impact role in a financially strong, recognisable retailerClear mandate to improve how finance operatesHybrid working (4 days ..... full job details .....
