Interim Director of FinanceEdinburgh (Hybrid) 3 months Initial Contract £650 p/d (Inside IR35)We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join a major Scottish public sector organisation on an interim basis. Reporting to the Chief Executive and forming part of the Executive Leadership Team, you will provide strategic financial leadership across a complex organisation with an annual budget of approximately £500m.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Finance and Procurement functions.Provide strategic financial advice to the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team.Oversee financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, risk management and governance.Lead annual budget-setting and spending review processes.Manage relationships with government stakeholders and external auditors.Oversee statutory accounts and financial compliance activities.Support major transformation and organisational change programmes.Ensure value for money, accountability and effective stewardship of public funds.Essential Skills andamp; ExperienceCCAB-qualified accountant with current membership of a recognised professional accountancy body and up-to-date CPD.Significant senior finance leadership experience within a large, complex organisation.Proven experience managing substantial budgets and financial planning processes.Strong understanding of public sector governance, audit and financial controls.Experience providing strategic advice at Executive or Board level.Excellent stakeholder management ..... full job details .....
